I wish I could’ve had a conversation with Freddie Mercury. He was a such an interesting character. A stylish, handsome, bi-sexual boy with a cute overbite. He sang beautifully and wrote profound lyrics, not to mention was famously well endowed and a hopeless romantic. He fell in love with nearly everyone he dated. I’ve known other popular musicians with this exact same trait. Part of that illogical, fun, creative side that seeks happiness in the moment. Below is an interesting documentary with Mick Rock among others gossiping about Freddie’s past loves. Part one dives into Freddie’s roots, growing up in Zanzibar, the island off the coast of Africa, with the nickname, “Bucky.” He moved to Middlesex, England during the swinging sixties, making a woman his first love.
