PHILLIPPE MARCADE: I stayed at Chelsea Hotel, and I was like totally out of touch with anybody I'd met before. I didn't really know if I was gonna stay, but there was a little club right across the street from the Chelsea called Mothers, and that did it man. That's where everything opened up; Mink Deville was just starting, same with the Fast, Blondie, all those bands I saw there, the Ramones….
