Billie Joe Armstrong on The Stooges
I sent Bob Gruen a PKM t-shirt to France, cause he was on tour with Green Day. It was when we were first launching the website. I sent a note in the package that read, "Bob, take the shirt out of the package, put the t-shirt on Billie Joe, now take the fucking picture!" Bob handed the note to Billie Joe, who said,
"I guess we'd better do what he says..."

Mutant Monster Surfboard – Part 2
Debbie Harry and Chris Stein with the surfboard from Punk Magazine's Mutant Monster Beach Party. NYC 1977. The entire Punk Magazine #15 Mutant Monster Beach Party issue has been reprinted in The Best Of Punk Magazine, edited by John Holmstrom and Bridget Hurd. This picture were taken on the "set" of the opening scene, which was the street just outside the door of Chris and Debbies loft. There just happened to be a Jaguar parked there, and the owner came by let us incorporate it into the scene. He even put the top down. -Tom Hearn
The Descendents and Me
By Brian Walsby - A former Californian's weird connection to the Descendents.
Mutant Monster Surfboard – Part 1
Legs borrowing his brother Craig's surfboard to use in Punk Magazine's Mutant Monster Beach Party in 1977. He was taking it on the train from New Haven to Grand Central. I don't think Craig actually gave him permission to use it, but I know Craig never saw that board again. It was last seen in the possession of Joey Ramone.
Excerpt from: “LIVE THROUGH THIS…”
“You doing alright Legs?” Joey Ramone asked me one night, shortly after I’d gotten dumped by Billie Bartlet. We were hanging at out one Monday night at Arturo Vega’s loft, the Ramones’ creative director, right around the corner from CBGB’s.
Rebus Works Flyer
Cartoonist Brian Walsby made this great flyer for Gillian and Legs' book reading at Rebus Works in Raleigh. Thanks, Brian!

Guest book signers included former staffers Bruce Carleton, Robert Romagnoli, Steve Taylor, Roberta Bayley, Hal Drellich, Elin Wilder, Jolly Prochnik, as well as Andy Shernoff, Bob Gruen, Joe Stevens, Mickey Leigh, Tish and Snooky Bellomo, and more.

GRAPHIC NOVEL REVIEW: My Friend Dahmer!
Review by Legs McNeil - When I got out of my last rehab in November of 2011, I spent a few months on the west coast and when I returned home, I saw that I had been invited via Facebook to a party somewhere in Ohio for the release of the graphic novel, My Friend Dahmer by Derf Backderf. So I clicked on "going" in the appropriate Facebook box and really planned on trying to make the event. I mean, what else did I have to do?
My life was in shambles.
